Elasto Painters trade away Almazan to Bolts for two first round picks

The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters has parted ways with their known big man Raymond Almazan.

The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) announced on Tuesday, May 14, that they have approved the trade deal that will send Almazan to the Meralco Bolts.

As part of the trade deal approved by the PBA Commissioner’s Office, the Elasto Painters will receive the first round picks of the Bolts for the 2019 and 2021 drafts.

For more than five years, Almazan played with the Rain or Shine which picked him 3rd overall during the 2013 PBA draft. The 6’8 player from Bataan won the 2016 Commissioner’s Cup alongside the Elasto Painters.

Almazan is expected to make his debut with Bolts during the 2019 Commissioner’s Cup, which will start on Sunday, May 19.
