Edwin Duque

Because of his outwardly retiring nature, Edwin may appear to be too coy for a reporter. But in reality, this low-profile person is actually curious and sharp-eyed, and has his own sneaky tactics to scoop stories and get exclusives.

Before he was a reporter, Edwin was an entrepreneur and managed his own restaurant. He then volunteered in various media-related non-government organizations such as Radio and Communication Group, Scan International, and Volunteer Radio Communication Group. This was how he discovered his interest in mass media reporting. Through his own efforts and resources, he enrolled himself in a Basic Mass Communication Training for Reporting Program. After that, he joined the DZRH Operation Tulong to volunteer as a reporter. His talent and skills were recognized when he was cited as Operation Tulong’s “Best Reporter of the Year” in 2007, 2008, and 2009. Afterwards, he was hired by DZRH to be among its beat reporters.

Edwin is now a DZRH field reporter, covering the CAMANAVA (Caloocan, Navotas, Valenzuela) areas.
