The Department of Transportation is preparing to send-out new vehicles in order to assist commuters.
This was revealed by Department of Transportation Asec. Elvira Medina following complaints from commuters regarding the lack of passenger jeepneys in the streets due to the agency’s “Kontra Bulok, Kontra Usok” campaign.
According to Medina, they are still studying how many vehicles to preposition for the convenience of commuters.
Medina said during the DZRH’s One on One.
Meanwhile, Medina also revealed that about 200 vehicles were flagged down last January 10 due to the implementation of the “Kontra Bulok, Kontra Usok”.
The DOTr official revealed that some of the apprehended drivers were caught due to having no proper driver’s license, lacking some vehicle parts, or being kolorum.
