The next title fight of former Super Bantamweight King Nonito Donaire Jr. has been set.
This was confirmed by International matchmaker and promoter Sampson Lewkowicz as Top Rank is already ironing out the details of Donaire’s next bout against WBA/IBO Featherweight champion Simpiwe Vetyeka of South Africa.
The schedule of the match will be on May 31 at the Cotai Arena at the Venetian, Macau.
If Donaire wins the said match, he will be the second Filipino boxer to become the world champion in five weight division next to Pambansang Kamao, Manny Pacquiao.
Meanwhile, Bob Arum placed as undercard for the Donaire-Vetyeka title bout former unified flyweight champion Brian “the Hawaiian Punch” Viloria.
However, no details have been revealed on who will be pitted against Viloria.
