Film Director Erik Matti wants the Congress to review the funds of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) which should be for the betterment of the show business industry.

Matti’s request to review the fund of MMFF is due to the admission of Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Emerson Carlos that the annual earning of the film festival is not subject for a Commission on Audit (COA) report.

Carlos admits that though the MMFF is under the government, it does not undergo COA auditing since the MMFF money is called  ‘donated funds.’

The director also said he wants to know where the funds and amusement taxes, which are being collected from MMFF during the two weeks run of MMFF films, go.
