The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) announced that two of the five alleged ‘narco-generals’ will be charged today.
DILG Sec. Mike Sueno, said that criminal cases will be filed against former National Capital Region Police Office Director Joel Pagdilao and former Central Police District Director Edgardo Tinio.
According to Sueno, the DILG investigation yielded “prima facie” evidence against Pagdilao and Tinio.
Sueno added that the DILG is still preparing cases against former Western Visayas police director Chief Supt. Bernardo Diaz and retired Deputy Director Gen. Marcelo Garbo, who were also tagged as narco-generals by President Rodrigo Duterte.
Likewise, the investigation against incumbent Daanbantayan, Cebu Mayor Vicente Loot is still on-going.
Earlier, the DILG rescinded Loot’s firearms license and authority to supervise the local police force.
