Education Secretary Leonor Briones has now tested negative from the deadly coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Department of Education(DepEd) said on Monday.
The department made the announcement on its official Twitter account.
In an interview, Briones said that she received a text message from Health Secretary Francisco Duque III saying that she already yielded negative result from the viral disease.

The 79-year-old Education chief was the second member of President Rodrigo Duterte’s Cabinet infected with COVID-19 after Interior Secretary Eduardo Año.
Briones earlier revealed that she had been in isolation since April 8 after she learned that she tested positive for COVID-19 based on the samples taken from her on April 2.
