The Philippine National Police (PNP) expressed that it will continue with its operation against ‘narco-politicians’ involve in illegal drugs.
PNP Chief Dir. Gen. Ronald Dela Rosa warned that more narco-politicians considered as ‘big-fish’ will fall amid the government’s intensified war against illegal drugs.
Dela Rosa made the statement after the death of Ozamis City Mayor Reynaldo Parajinog, his wife and 13 others after a drug operation conducted for allegedly resisting arrest.
Dela Rosa stressed the operation against the Parojinogs is a proof that the PNP’s campaign against illegal drugs does not exempt anyone.
He assured the public that the PNP has enhanced its case build-up against other ‘Big fish’ tagged in illegal drug trade.
Mayor Parojinog’s name was part of President Rodrigo Duterte’s drug matrix in 2016.
