The Senate will resume its hearing on the issue of extra-judicial killings in the country.
In line with this, Sen. Leila De Lima issued an open letter, urging President Rodrigo Duterte to follow and monitor the Senate’s hearing.
According to De Lima, next week’s hearing will focus on the indication that not all of the recent killings are connected to illegal drugs activities.
De Lima believes that there is a possibility that the anti-drug campaign of the President is being use to sabotage the government’s campaign to fight off illegal drugs.
Meanwhile, Sen. Panfilo Lacson said that he will be attending the hearing of the Senate Committee on Justice and wants to focus on the cases of killings, believed to be perpetuated by vigilant groups.
