Department of Justice Leila De Lima denied reports that she only “inserted” Customs Chief Ruffy Biazon’s name in the original list of the new batch of individuals being dragged to the Pork Barrel Fund scam case.

De Lima insisted that the National Bureau of Investigation is making a thorough investigation on the said case and that no personality can just be added just because they are zeroing on him or her.

There are reports that Biazon became wary with his name being included in the list because whistleblower Benhur Luy’s statement about him came the last minute.

De Lima explained that Biazon could be referring to the supplemental affidavit of Luy that indicated of Biazon’s allegedly pocketing some of his PDAF during his term as Congressman of Mandaluyong.

Luy’s supplemental affidavit was used by the NBI in filing charges against more personalities who are accused of participating in the Billion peso Pork Barrel fund scam.   (with reports from Judie Anne Abejero)
