COVID-19 cases in PHL surpass 35k mark

The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Sunday, June 28, that the total number of 2019 Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) cases went up to 35,455 after validating 653 new infections.

Out of the said number of new COVID-19 cases, 485 are fresh cases or results released to the patients within the past three days, and 168 are late cases or backlogs that the DOH validated only recently.

Meanwhile, the Health Department announced that the total number of COVID-19 recoveries climbed to 9,686 after 258 infected patients recovered from the said respiratory illness.

Eight more COVID-19 positive patients also succumbed to the disease which brough the death toll up to 1,244.
