A law enforcer was killed while five others were wounded in a clash with suspected members of the New People’s Army (NPA) in Labo, Camarines Norte early Saturday morning.
According to the report of DZRH Ruel Saldico, the suspected NPA rebels ambushed the convoy of several cops in Sitio Binuang, Barangay Daguit, Labo Dakong at about 2 a.m. today, December 1.
According to police reports, two mobile patrols were headed to the Camarines Norte Philippine National Police Central Office when they were suddenly attacked by the communist’s fighters.
Due to the clash, one of the patrol vehicles fell into a ditch at the side of the road.
Officials are currently tracking down the suspected guerrillas.
