The House of Congress will extend the term of the committee involved in the Bangsamoro Basic Law.

The Ad Hoc Committee on the Bangsamoro is supposed to end at the same time the session adjourns on March 18, in time for the Lenten break of the lawmakers.

However, Cagayan De Oro Cong. Rufus Rodriguez, chairman of the said committee, there’s a draft resolution extending the term of the committee up to the month of June so that they can continue discussing the BBL and for them to be able to ratify it.

In order to follow the new timetable for the BBL, Rodriguez will ask the permission of House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte if they could conduct hearing even if the session is in recess.   (with DZRH Leth Narciso-Abinales)
