The Lawyers for Commuters Safety and Protection sees the resignation of Transportation Usec. Cesar Chavez as a show of decency.

According to LCSP Pres. Atty. Ariel Inton, he is saddened by the departure of Chavez since the Department of Transportation official has already contributed a long-term solution to the problems faced by Metro Rail Transit (MRT) System and other train systems in the Philippines.

Inton believes that the problem is not with the DOTr officials but with the defective creation of the MRT-3. He believes that it is time to examine the creation of the MRT-3, and the contracts entered by the government regarding it.

The commuters group also said that the government should get train experts, and that the operation of the MRT-3 cannot be stopped since it will affect many passengers.
