The Commission on Elections will decide this month (July) on what system it will use in the 2016 elections.

COMELEC Chairman Andres Bautista announced that the agency has been rushing to choose an appropriate system for the upcoming elections.

Bautista emphasized that the COMELEC will not go back to manual counting.

COMELEC declared on Tuesday the failure of bidding for the repair of more than 81, 000 PCOS machines when two of its bidders backed out at the last minute, and one of them failed to show up.
