Candidates who are vying for a position in the October 28 barangay elections flooded the Commission on Elections office on Friday in Arroceros, Manila for the last day of filing of Certificate of Candidacy (COC).
Candidates have been waiting in line since 4 a.m.
Based on the DZRH monitoring, majority of the candidates are re-electionists.
Comelec Chairman Sixto Brillantes said that candidates who are filing for their third term will be disqualified.
Brillantes also said that there will be no extensions for the filing of COCs and that candidates can only start their campaign on October 18.
