San Beda College Red Lions coach Boyet Fernandez is thankful that rising basketball star Robert Bolick chose to continue playing collegiate basketball in the UAAP.

This is in response to the decision of Bolick to not submit his application form for the 2017 PBA Rookie Draft.

Coach Fernandez said that he and the whole San Beda community appreciates that Bolick decided to play with the Red Lions for one more year.

Coach Fernandez also revealed that Bolick joked of having submitted his application form for the PBA Draft before the deadline last October 12.

Coach Fernandez insisted that Bolick made the decison himself. However, the veteran coach explained that he did advise the 20-year old basketball player to graduate college and to always think of his future.

Bolick is considered as one of the top picks for the said upcoming PBVA Draft scheduled at Robinson’s Place Manila.

Meanwhile, Gilas players Kiefer Ravena, Christian Standhardinger, and Jeron Teng are amongst the 44 basketball stars who submitted their applications for the PBA Draft.
