Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno accused four magistrates of being biased for supporting the impeachment case against her.

The alleged biased magistrates include Associate Justices Diosdado Peralta, Lucas Bersamin, Francis Jardeleza, and Noel Tijam.

Sereno said that Peralta, Bersamin, Jardeleza, and Tijam were active in the Red Monday protest that was attended by Supreme Court officials and employees that appeal for her resignation.

Due to this, the camp of Sereno filed a motion in the Supreme Court, asking the four magistrates to inhibit in the oral arguments regarding the Quo Warranto petition filed against the Chief Justice.

The Office of the Solicitor General filed the petition against Sereno due to questions regarding her eligibility to hold the position of head magistrate.

The camp of Sereno believes that the rights of the Chief Justice for a due process will be violated if the four magistrates will be allowed to join the oral arguments.
