Due to the recent deaths in Caloocan City, Mayor Oscar ‘Oca’ Malapitan ordered Senior Superintendent Jemar Modequillo to reshuffle the police in the city.
Mayor Malapitan made the appeal in order to correct the police operations in Caloocan.
Chief Superintendent Clifton Empeso, director of the Northern Police District, has previously ordered the dismissal of member of the Caloocan police.
However, S/Supt. Modequillo refused, and said that the Caloocan police should be given another chance. He further added that only police who ignored their duty should be removed.
The ordered mass-removal seeks to appease the worries of the public regarding the police and the government’s anti-drug campaign.
