Caloocan Anti-drug chief, 4 others axed

The Chief of the Anti-Illegal Drugs Unit in Caloocan City and four of his staff were relieved from their positions.

Insp. Leoben Ong, SPO2 Elmar Orolfo, Po3 Ronald Tanhal, PO2 Lemery Galang and PO1 Rafaelito Grupo were transferred to the District Holding Center of the Northern Police District office.

They were relieved after two vendors accused them of extortion.

According to the said complaint, the teo vendors were dragged inside an SUV by five policemen and were only released upon sweeping them off of their money, amounting to 23 thousand pesos.
