Bolts shock Gin Kings to tie PBA semis

The Meralco Bolts rallied in the final period to beat Brgy. Ginebra on Friday, November 20, at the Angeles University Foundation Sports Arena and Cultural Center.

Chris Newsome finished with 16 points while Bong Quinto and Allein Maliksi each scored 14 points for the Bolts to avenge their loss in Game One and tie the best-of-five series.

After trailing behind by 13 points, 55-42, at the start of the third quarter, Raymond Almazan scored back-to-back baskets for Meralco to end the period with a four-point advantage, 65-61.

The lead of the Bolts grew to 18 points, 85-67, after a three-point play by Newsome cupped off a 13-point scoring run.

Japeth Aguilar contributed 17 points and LA Tenorio added 16 points for the Gin Kings that trailed behind by 21 points at most during the basketball match.
