Northport Batang Pier will be missing the services of their rookie Robert Bolick for the next six months.
The management of Batang Pier confirmed on Wednesday, Oct. 30, that Bolick suffered an ACL injury during the team’s game against the San Miguel Beermen on Oct. 23 at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.
Bolick registered nine points, six assists, and three rebounds before he limped out of the court after injuring his knee during the fourth quarter of the game that Batang Pier won 127-119.
“To address the ACL tear, Bolick opted to go through surgery rather than rehab to ensure full recovery,” Batang Pier said in their social media accounts.
“Prayers up! Speedy recovery, Robert,” the PBA team added.
The injury also meant that Bolick cannot represent the Philippines in the men’s 3×3 basketball tournament of the 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.
The Philippines will host the 30th SEA Games that will formally open on Nov. 30 and end on Dec. 11.
