The Philippine National Police’ s (PNP) Board of Inquiry (BOI) investigating the Mamasapano incident deferred anew its submission of the report, BOI head Police Director Benjamin Magalong said Friday.

Magalong said the board has decided to extend the deadline of the submission of the report on the Mamasapano incident that had 44 police commandos, 18 moro rebels and five civilians dead after a bloody encounter last January 25.

The BOI was supposed to submit the report on February 26 but Magalong asked for another week to review the document.

However, Magalong said the BOI will submit the report on Monday.

Earlier, Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas said PNP officials assured him Roxas that the report will meet its deadline.

Magalong asked for more time to review the documents and check for typographical errors and other errors.
