Bobby Ray Parks Jr. has decided to move from the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) to another professional basketball league in the Philippines, the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
Parks, who currently plays for the MPBL team Mandaluyong El Tigre, announced that on Thursday, Nov. 29, he has submitted his application for the upcoming 2018 PBA draft.
The 25-year old Fil-American basketball star is also a member of Alab Pilipinas, the reigning champions of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL), and is also the reigning local most valuable player of the ABL.
The two-time local ABL MVP has also won three gold medals in the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games and was also part of the Philippine team that topped the 2015 Southeast Asia Basketball Association (SEABA) Championships.
Currently, 34 basketball players, including Parks, three-time NCAA champion Robert Bolick, and NCAA Season 93 Most Valuable Player Cj Perez, have applied for the upcoming PBA draft scheduled on Dec. 16.
