South Korean girl group BLACKPINK did it again, this time with their newly released single, “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du”, which has been doing an All-Kill in the KPOP world.
In fact, the four-member girl group from YG Entertainment broke a Youtube record of being able to reach more than 70 million views, five days after their video was released.
Aside from this feat, Lisa, Jisoo, Jennie and Rose also broke records in the international market with their single “Ddu-Du Ddu-du” hitting the number 1 spot on iTunes in 44 countries.
“Square Up” is the girls first mini-album following their monster hit albums’ “Square One” with “Whistle” and “Boombayah,” and their 2017 summer hit “It’s as if your last.”
This only proves that the girls are no rip-off of the disbanded “2NE1” as they have their own spunk and versatility.
Even YG Entertainment head Yang Hyun Suk is proud of the girls’ impressive success, even posting a screenshot of the girl’s music video with more than 50 million views.
