Biliran governor asks help for Urduja victims

Biliran Governor Gerardo Espina Jr. has asked help for the landslide victims in Kaibiran.

According to Espina, the residents of Kaibiran need food and water after they were affected by the avalanche.

The governor of Biliran also announced that they have started distributing relief goods to the residents affected by Tropical Depression Urduja and the landslide.

Espina said there has been three days of non-stop rain prior the onslaught of Urduja in Biliran and among the areas hit by the landslide is Kaibiran.

Based on the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, 18 people died due to the landslide in Biliran and 46 individuals went missing in the areas hit by Urduja.
