The Department of Health (DOH) reminded the public to remain inside their homes and limit their outside exposure to essential activities due to the 2019 Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

The COVID-19 virus does not take a day off. The risk of contracting the virus remains real. Always observe physical distancing, wash hands frequently, wear masks, and avoid large crowds,” DOH said in a Facebook post on Sunday, June 28.

DOH issued the reminder after a large number of people crowded at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex in Pasay City on Sunday to do their usual morning exercise.

Some of the bikers and joggers seen in the CCP Complex were not wearing face masks nor observed physical distancing even though Metro Manila remains under general community quarantine and the COVID-19 threat persists.
