The Bicameral Conference Committee on Friday, February 8 approved the Php 3.757 Trillion proposed National Budget for the year 2019.
The decision was penalized after the opening speech of Senate Appropriations Committee Chair Senator Loren Legarda that justified that the 2019 budget is “Pro-Poor, Pro-Development, and Pro-Filipino.”
The ceremonial signing of the lawmakers took place at Camp Aguinaldo. It is set to be transferred to the plenary in order to be ratified.
On the other hand, Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon reportedly dissent the voting while Senator Panfilo Lacson didn’t attend the hearing despite being part of the Bicam committee.
