Beermen retaliates vs Hotshots to tie Philippine Cup Final series 2-2

The San Miguel Beermen won against the Magnolia Hotshots, 114-98, on Wednesday, May 8, at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City to tie the PBA Philippine Cup Final Series, 2-2.

June Mar Fajardo, who won his sixth Best Player of the Conference in the same night, registered 31 points and 14 rebounds for the Beermen to emerge victorious in Game-4.

San Miguel took the lead for good following a 12-point run that started at the waning minutes of the second quarter and continued until the third quarter which put the Hotshots down by 14 points, 61-47.

Terrence Romeo scored 18 points and Chris Ross added 15 points for the Beermen which led by 17 points at most during the game.

Jio Jalalon and Andy Barroca each registered 22 points while Ian Sangalang contributed 19 points and 11 rebounds for Magnolia that once again lose their one-game victory advantage over San Miguel.

Both PBA teams will attempt to get the lead in the Final Series on Game-5 on Friday, May 10.
