Authorities are currently looking at six persons of interest in the twin bombing inside a cathedral in Jolo, Sulu over the weekend; leaving 20 people dead and more than 120 injured.
In an interview, National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon revealed that they are looking at two groups and six persons of interest for the attack based on their recovered closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage.
He also explained that they suspected the persons in the footage based on their “suspicious movements” after the bombs exploded.
Esperson said that they are yet to verify the identities of the persons in question.
The military had earlier pointed at the “Adjang Adjang“, a subgroup of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) as the possible culprit behind the attack based on initial findings.
