Atty. Larry Gadon on Wednesday denied that he filed an impeachment complaint against Chief justice Maria Lourdes Sereno in return for favors from the government.
During an interview with DZRH, Gadon said he was never offered any government position in replace for his impeachment complaint against the Chief Magister.
Gadon, who is a vocal supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte, also clarified that his continued campaign for a federal type of government in the Philippines was not made compulsory in exchange for favors.
On November, Gadon’s case against Sereno was being heard for any probable cause. He has accused Sereno of falsifying a temporary restraining order, corruption, violation of the Constitution, committing high crimes, and betrayal of public trust.
Meanwhile, the House Justice Committee said that it will not be entertaining the request of Gadon after he urged the Chief Justice to attend her impeachment proceeding scheduled in January.
