Ateneo Blue Eagles beats FEU Tamaraws for last Finals ticket in UAAP Season 80

The Ateneo Blue Eagles will once again be making an appearance in the Finals of the UAAP Season 80 Men’s Basketball.

A vengeful Eagles beat the Far Eastern University Tamaraws with a score of 88-84.

During the game at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City on Wednesday, Nov. 22, Ateneo almost tasted their third defeat in the season after FEU grabbed the lead in the last 14 seconds of the fourth quarter with a score of 72-75.

However, Isaac Go threw in a three point shot for the Eagles in order to bring the game to overtime.

The two teams once again tied the score with 80 points each in the last two minutes before Ateneo took control and ended the Finals dream of FEU.

The Eagles were led by Thirdy Ravena who contributed 17 points while Jasper Parker gave 19 points for the Tamaraws.

Due to this victory, the Finals rivalry between Ateneo and De La Salle Green Archers is once again ignited as both teams are set to face one another in the Best-of-3 Finals series of the tournament.

Game-1 is set at MOA Arena on November 25.
