Communications Secretary Martin Andanar on Thursday addressed that he has no power to discipline Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson over the latter’s controversial remarks and action on social media.
In defense, Andanar said he has no power over Uson since she is “a presidential appointee.”
He also noted that the letter-request of several PCOO officials on the removal of Uson in the office has been sent to Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea but remains pending. The request for Uson’s removal sparked after her “Ipepedederalismo” video went viral on social media.
The officials also called on their PCOO colleague to apologize for her vulgar video, while the senators expressed the need for Uson to take a break from the government and study more on federalism.
