Alab Pilipinas suffered its first home loss at the hands of the Formosa Dreamers, 88-74, on Sunday, March 17, at the Sta. Rosa Multipurpose Complex in Laguna.

Malcolm Miller scored 27 points while William Artino and Tevin Glass each added 23 points as the Dreamers stretched their winning streak to eight games.

In the final minutes of the third quarter, Glass started a 10-point run that allowed the visiting Taiwanese team to secure a 13-point lead, 61-48, before the start of the final period.

The Dreamers continued to dominate Alab in the fourth quarter and a lay-up from Artino allowed the visitors to grab their biggest lead in the game, 75-58, with less than five minutes left in the game.

With victory already assured for the Dreamers, Miller got into a heated altercation with Alab’s Caelan Tiongson with 2:30 left in the game that led to both players being removed from the court.

Reigning ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) Most Valuable player Bobby Ray Parks Jr. delivered 24 points and import PJ Ramos contributed 22 points as Alab tasted their third straight loss.

The Philippine squad, with 18 wins and seven losses, also dropped to second place as the Dreamers, with a 18-6 win-loss record, seized the top spot in the standings of the 9th season of the ABL.
