Alab Pilipinas losing streak ends with domination of Mono Vampires

Alab Pilipinas has ended their two-game losing streak in the ASEAN Basketball League after defeating Saigon Heat with a score of 126-100.

During the game at the University of Southeastern Philippines Gym, Davao City on March 14, Alab was led by imports’ Renaldo Balkman who scored 30 points and Justin Brownlee who contributed 24 points and 13 rebounds

While for the Heat, Maxie Esho gave 24 points for the Vietnamese team, with nine wins and nine losses in the tournament.

The Philippine team shot a tournament-high of 18 three pointers in order to secure their 12th win after 18 games, and to place them in the same standings as the Mono Vampires.

Alab was able to widen the score to 68-50 by the end of the first half and even reached a 30-point lead in the third quarter to dominate the gam.

Meanwhile, the Philippine team needs to win its next two games in order to have a chance of securing one of the two automatic slots for the semifinals of the tournament.
