The testimonial review of the Army for outgoing AFP Chief of Staff Ltgen. Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr. was cancelled due to the bad weather.
The said event would’ve been done at the Hunters Guerilla parade ground in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City and officials and members of the Philippine Army, headed by Army Commanding General, Ltgen. Hernando Iriberri were the expected guests.
There’s no announcement if the testimonial review will still push through because Catapang is set to retire next Friday, July 17.
Catapang previously served as AFP Northern Luzon Command Commander of the 7th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army and Vice Chief of Staff before being hailed as the 45th AFP Chief.
The outgoing AFP Chief is a member of the PMA Dimalupig class of 1981 and the Reformed the Armed Forces Movement.
