$81M money laundering heist hearing to resume after May 9 polls

The Senate investigation on the  $81 million stolen money from Bangladesh Central Bank is set to resume after the May 9 national elections.

According to Sen. Teofisto Guingona, Chairman of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, they need to reconcile the inconsistent testimonies of the resource persons in the said controversy.

Guingona added, the committee will gather more details on where the $17 million was brought since it remains missing until now.

During the Senate hearing last April 19, the committee asked the key witnesses; Kim Wong, Maia Deguito and PhilRem to submit their respective waivers to determine their phone records, but, nobody complied.
