Mayon Volcano reportedly showed at least seven low-frequency quakes and one rockfall event in the last 24 hours, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

In its bulletin issued on Wednesday, Phivolcs said that Mayon emitted weakly to moderate white steam-laden emissions that measured 680 tons per day, which is higher than the standard 500 tons per day.

It also advised the public to refrain from going into the six-kilometer danger zone and seven-kilometer extended danger zone while the volcano remained at alert level 2 (moderate level of unrest).
