More than 61 individuals and 12 injuries from the Maute group in the continued offensive operations of the military against the said terror group in Butig, Lanao del Sur.

According to Armed Forces of the Philippines Western Mindanao Command Spokesman Maj. Filemon Tan, the military was able to reclaim 85-90 percent of Brgy. Bayabao Poblacion in Butig.

The government is positive that it will be able to neutralize the Maute group as some of their members are slowly making a run amid the intensified offensive efforts of the military.

The clash between the military and the Maute group started last Saturday, after the rebel group took over the old municipality of Butig.
