At least six individuals who were allegedly tagged as rebels from the New People’s Army (NPA) were killed in a firefight with soldiers in Lupi, Camarines Sur on Wednesday, January 30.
According to a report from the 9th Infantry Division, the 20-minute clash erupted after soldiers chanced upon some 15 rebels in Barangay Lupi.
Four M16 rifles and a grenade launcher were recovered from the area, the military said.
The identities of the slain rebels were not yet available as their bodies would be brought to the town police station for documentation.
