Before New Year’s Day, college faculty members will be receiving their postponed K-12 transition program allowances from the Commission on Higher Education.
According to Iligan City Rep. Frederick Siao, CHED Chairperson Patricia Licuanan announced that 2,152 teachers will be receiving their whole allowances on Dec. 29.
Meanwhile, 1,011 recipients will only be getting partial release on January 5, and 933 are still pending in CHED regional offices.
CHED admitted that they were flooded by more than 11,000 sets of documents from 9,500 faculty scholars of K-12 Transition Program.
Siao was grateful for the actions of CHED after the congressman brought the appeal of the teachers to the agency. He also promised to assist CHED so that the agency can be more efficient and resolve its weaknesses.
