KPOP has definitely gone global. Proof of this was Friday’s release of two collaborations from two Kpop girl groups with two international singers.
YG Entertainment’s IT group “BLACKPINK” gave their fans something to enjoy while they prepare for their comeback with a duet with none other than Dua Lipa. The “Kiss and Make Up” song was actually announced by Dua Lipa in September as part of her super deluxe edition of her self-titled album.
The song was written by the British singer herself. The beat has the Dua Lipa trademark with a hint of the sassiness of the girls from BLACKPINK.
The audio was released via Dua Lipa’s Youtube channel, and the fans are already asking for the full music video of it.
Meanwhile, another popular Kpop girl group is making waves internationally with the release of “Written in the Stars.” The song is a collaboration between Red Velvet’s Wendy and Grammy award winner John Legend.
“Written in the Stars” is a special release under SM Entertainment’s “Station x 0” wherein SM artists are given the opportunity to collaborate with different artists.
Incidentally, the members of BLACKPINK are set for their individual solo debuts before they reunite for their much-awaited comeback. The girls from Red Velvet are currently busy with their REDMARE Concert tour.
