2 persons of interest in Jolo catheral bombing surrendered to authorities

At least two of the person’s caught in the CCTV footage during the time of the twin explosion in a cathedral in Jolo, Sulu on Sunday have reportedly surrendered to the authorities.

On Wednesday, the two individuals had submitted themselves to the police to clear their names.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines Western Mindanao Command has identified the persons in the CCTV as members of the Abu Sayyaf Group’s Ajang-ajang group. The Ajang-ajang is reportedly made up of mostly teenage bandits, who are said to be next generation members of the ASG.

In the said footage, at least three suspects were identified,  including one alias Kamah, who wore the green jacket in the video and who is said to be a brother of Abu Sayyaf bombmaker Surakah Ingog.
