‘Kung kaya ko, kaya niyo din‘
It is a dream come true for 17-year old Ella Mariz Andrei Cayabyab, the 2018 Queen of the Boling-Boling Festival, to participate in the Aliwan Fiesta in Pasay City.
The Festival Queen from Quezon province revealed that, for four years, she has been looking forward for the annual gathering of cultural festivals, and she already feels grateful just by joining the Reyna ng Aliwan.
“Four years na ako nanonood ng Aliwan. Dream ko talagang sumali sa Aliwan. Thank you nga kay Lord kasi parang ngayon pa lang panalo na ako dahil nakasali ako dito at saka yung experience,” Cayabyab said.
While she feels pressured due to being the youngest candidate in this year’s Reyna ng Aliwan beauty pageant, Cayabyab also feels that this makes her unique and able to inspire other people.
As a young beauty queen, she hopes to persuade the youth to follow their dreams, since she was able to reach her ambition.
“Uniqueness siya kasi yung parang something new na makikita ng ibang tao na kaya pala ng 17 years old na sumali sa national pageant,” Cayabyab explained.
Other than her youth, Cayabyab also believes that her self-confidence gives her the chance to compete with the other beauty queens vying for the crown of Queen of Festivals.
Meanwhile, Cayabyab assured the public that the candidates will show their own uniqueness, beauty, and skills during the main pageant night set on April 27 in front of Aliw Theater, Pasay City.
“Lahat ng candidates may uniqueness kami. Lahat kami may laban at may mapapatunayan na kaya namin ibahagi ang aming talino at talento sa lahat ng tao. Iba ang mga kasali ng Reyna ng Aliwan.”
