12-year old Caviteno wins Malaysian Chess Challenge

A 12-year old boy from Dasmarinas, Cavite is making a name in the world of Chess after winning a recently finished Chess tournament in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Michael Concio Jr., ranked 21 in the 12th Goldis Malaysia Chess Challenge, defeated older and more experienced Chess players in the week-long tournament that ended last September 3.

According to Michael Concio Sr., his son started learning Chess at the age of two years old by playing against his sisters.

During the 2017 National Games last April, the young Chess genius grabbed a silver medal.
