More than 100 hikers stranded due to bad weather

More than a hundred hikers are currently stranded aren’t able to get down from Mount Pulag in Kabayan, Benguet due to typhoon Egay.

Kabayan Mayor Faustino Aquisan made the confirmation after some tourists notified him of the current situation in the highlands.

Based on initial information, hikers are in Babadak Ranger Station and cannot go down from the mountain due to bad weather and landslide.

Due to this, the park rangers already restricted the jump-off areas of the mountain so that hikers will not be allowed entrance.

Cordillera Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council prohibited  hiking and trekking in such bad weather condition.
