Youth org reacts on PNP’s allege profiling of university students

A youth organization slammed the Philippine National Police’s statement that allegedly, students from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines go on regular hikes.

According to the Kabataan Partylist, the PNP’s latest attack against college students is no difference to its profiling of teachers that are members of the Alliance of Concerned Teachers.

This latest issue stemmed after the PNP stated that PUP and University of the Philippines students regularly go on hikes are part of their immersion with the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army.

According to Kabataan Partylist Rep. Sarah Elago, this accusation of the PNP against the students is dangerous, which needs proof and strong evidence.

Though this may have brought fear, this does not hinder the students from condemning what they see is wrong in society.

In line with this, different student group leaders intensify their call for free education and lifting of the declaration of Martial Law in Mindanao.
