The Philippine National Women’s Basketball team, also known as Perlas Pilipinas, ended their maiden campaign in the FIBA 3×3 World Cup without a single win, 0-4.

Paula Polmares scored 11 points, while Aitana Cuevas Mediavilla and Nuria Martinez Prat each gave four points for the victory of the Spanish team.
Janine Pontejos finished with 13 points for the Philippine team that grabbed a two-point lead in the middle of the game.
The campaign of the Philippine team came to a finish after losing to Hungary, 18-15, in their second game for the day.
Bettina Bozóki and Dóra Medgyessy registered eight points each for the Hungarian team, which finished with a 3-1 win-loss record in Pool and will be moving forward to the quarterfinals.
Pontejos once again led the Philippines’ side after finishing with seven points while Afril Bernardino scored four points, including the lay-up that allowed the home-team to acquire a four-point lead.
