Water in dams continues to increase due to unceasing rains in Luzon

The water in 6 dams in Luzon continue to increase due to the unceasing rains in the previous days.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) is monitoring the Angat, Apo, La Mesa, Ambuklao, San Roque, and Pantabangan Dam, since the water is nearing critical level.

Based on the latest date of the PAGASA Hydro Meteorology Division, the water level of La Mesa Dam, Quezon City has reached 77.81 meters, and is closely reaching the normal water level.

The Apo Dam, Bulacan, only needs 0.25 meters before reaching its spilling level of 101.25 meters.

According to PAGASA, the dam needs to open their gates and release water, once the normal or spilling level is reached.
