Vice Governor cries during flag-raising in Marawi City

Provincial Vice Governor Mamintal Adiong Jr. cried in front of the public during the flag-raising ceremony of the Independence Day celebration in Marawi City, Lanao Del Sur amid the continuous clash between the Military and the Maute terror group in Marawi City.

Adiong said that the Maranaos should be with their families during the season of Ramadan, but due to the terrorists, they feel grief and fear in Marawi.

Adiong further added that Marawi City should belong to the Maranao in the Philippines, and neither Muslim nor Christian should seize it.

Meanwhile, military airstrikes continue in war zones of Marawi City during Independence Day.

According to officials in the areas, the bombs are coming from the OB-10 Aircrafts of the Philippine Air Force.

There have also been reported continuous ground explosions, and gunfire, but it cannot be identified if the blasts are coming from the military or the terrorists.
